New Children’s Hospice open water swim event is the perfect toe dipper for junior & adult swimmers!
If you think our distances look a bit too challenging or you have children aged 12+ who would like to dip their toe in the water with a bit of open water swimming then look no further!
On the same day as our 8k, 4k & 2k swims at Roadford Lake on Sunday 16th June, our charity partners Children’s Hospice South West are delighted to be offering two shorter distances to raise money for their fantastic cause. For the first time, competent swimmers aged 12-16 can register to take part in a 500m child-only swim or a 500m family swim. There is also a 1,000m course for young swimmers and adults aged 14 and over. Each person who signs up will commit to raising money for their fantastic cause – helping
There will be an annual perpetual trophy for the junior team (first three swimmers back in the fastest time aged under 16), so why not enter a team from your school or swimming club and see if you can bring home the trophy! Individual placings will also receive prizes and every participant will receive a certificate, swimming cap and t-shirt on the day.
